ATU Donegal Business Studies Department offers four CAD business courses. Each of these programs and their modules have been updated over the past few months based on industry developments and to meet the needs of employers in the region.

It is very important to the Department of Business Studies at ATU Donegal that the programs developed at ATU Donegal are developed with the industry in mind. New modules in areas such as UX and design thinking, digital media, data analytics and intrapreneurship are featured in updated business curricula. Optional one-year internship opportunities have been added to three of the department’s four programs.

The Department of Business Studies offers one Level 7 Diploma and three Level 8 Honors Diploma programs. Each of these Level 8 programs now offers an optional one-year work placement that provides learners with incredible opportunities to connect directly with the industry during their studies. These optional one-year internships can be done in the 3rd year of the course. The academic staff of the department will help students obtain an internship opportunity.

Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) Accounting – CAD Code: LY108

The Bachelor of Business (Hons) in Accounting is ideal for those wishing to work in areas such as accounting, banking, tax or financial services. ATU Donegal accounting The courses enjoy generous exemptions from examinations by professional accountancy bodies, including the ICA, ACCA, CPA and CIMA. This three-year program provides graduates with the skills needed to reach the top of their profession. Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) – CAD Code: LY118

The Bachelor of Business (Hons) positions graduates for a wide range of careers including human resource management, marketing, management and entrepreneurship. In the first year of the program students will cover modules such as economics, business law and business management and in the third year of the program students will cover modules such as strategic management, marketing international, digital commerce and customer experience management. Bachelor of Business (Honours) in Marketing with Online Technologies – CAD Code: LY128

The Bachelor of Business (Hons) in Marketing with Online Technologies is the latest specialist degree program available from the Department of Business Studies. Ideal for aspiring marketers, this course discusses the impact of digital technologies on how businesses and organizations market to consumers. In the first year of the program learners will cover the fundamentals of marketing and in the third year of the program students will cover modules including brand engagement marketing, applied marketing management, global marketing and strategic management. Bachelor of Commerce Common Entrance – CAD Code: LY107

The Level 7 Bachelor of Commerce (Common Entry) is ideal for those with an interest in business who want to explore management, marketing or accounting, but are unsure which major to choose. In the first two years of the program learners will undertake modules in each of these areas and in the third year of the study program students will choose a specialism. Students enrolled in the program can then move on to year 4 of their specialty and obtain a level 8 honors degree.
